save the polaroid!

Yes, that's right. The polaroid needs saving. Imagine being a painter, and suddenly you can no longer buy oil paints. Imagine being a sculptor without clay. This is a sad, sad day, my friends. Go to www.savethepolaroid.com to submit your own little protest.

Do it. now.

Found

Absurdities are a great joy. I found this little gem, in my husband's handwriting, while going through our old file folder of receipts and appliance booklets.

It's usually a chore to go through old paperwork and shred all the ancient papers we no longer need. But this time, I found joy in discovering little bits of nostalgia. The lease from our first apartment. (Rent: $595. Let's just say there's been quite an increase.) Our first utility bill. ($32. I miss those days.) All these memories of first starting out, making it work, figuring out how to be "grown ups," drawing on toaster manuals. It makes me smile.

life in pieces

If only you could see the bags beneath my eyes...

...and also, I cannot wait for the snow to melt so I can wear those cute shoes.
