What I did this week

I went for a walk and found a fish...

Looks like this one was a little disoriented.

I went downtown to the market...

...and saw loads of gorgeous flowers...

...and lots of other wonderful things to buy.

Downtown Seattle: Where fish are thrown, chowder is eaten, and you can catch a piece of sumthin' special across the street. Gosh, there's a lot of skanky places parked right next to the boutiques and touristy stuff.

Dave says: Why eat salt bagels when you can have a pretzel?
Jess says: Why eat a pretzel when you can have salt bagels?

And today it snowed. The natives are in a panic. I ate lunch at a diner, seated next to a table full of little old ladies who were frantically rearranging their plans on account of the snow. They were calling friends to check the city traffic cams, fretting about how to pick up Frank from the hospital, and canceling appointments. I chuckled to my hardy Wisconsin self. Wimps.

Even with the snow falling, it still manages to look tropical here.

Walking in Seattle

Oh, there are so many pictures to upload from the past week. But here's a taste of what I have seen in my beautiful new city:

Buds, blue sky.

Magenta accents.

Impeach.

This path leads to Ireland.

Kitty friend.

Aunt Tammy's memorial.

Never trust plastic lips.

With stars in my eyes.

I'm in love.

What's new?

What's new with me, you ask? Oh, nothing much. Just moving across the country. It's nothing, really. Just another day. Ha. Yes. No. Let me tell you how I really feel. "Excited" can't describe it. I'm full-blown out of this world giddy excited. The blog will be on break for a bit, but I'll pick it up again once we're unpacked and I can unearth my sewing machine and camera equipment and supplies. Where are we going? See if you can guess:

Oooh. I can't wait.
